Overview

Fëcë-èg̈ë Bî was founded in time immemorial, reportedly some time durring the late 8th century, by Shêlêv Glesh. The establishment of Fëcë-èg̈ë Bî was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Shêlêv Glesh struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Fëcë-èg̈ë Bî as a prison colony.

Fëcë-èg̈ë Bî was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 8th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Fëcë-èg̈ë Bî is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Fëcë-èg̈ë Bî is buildings have been located at convienant points along the valley Fëcë-èg̈ë Bî was built upon. Navigating the town is therefore a little chalanging as the distance between buildings verris greatly and the broad cobblestone streets flow where they are able to be made rather than folowing the most convienant paths. The town posesses a fortified albit thin wall of querried stone. This wall posesses most of the features of a castle wall, though it is constructed from cheeper inferior stone. It would pose a minor chalange for an attacking army, though it's clear the wall's true purpose is to crush the hopes of bandits and marauders. The failry decent fortifications has suffered a visible ammount of structural damage, leaving them effectivly useless. One can't help but wonder why the has not yet effected repairs.

The town shows nothing out of the ordinary, at first glance. Then you start to notice all the small things. Each window has seven iron nails pounded into the sill. Every door has a sprig of holly overhead. Every well is branded with purity seals and runes to ward the contents. Everyone is carrying a small charm for safety or fortune, be it a rabbit’s foot, a horseshoe, or other little totems.

However, it shown in the detailing given to the structures such as its characteristic tall columns, intricate detail, symmetry, harmony, and balance in their designs to an astonishing degree of precision. Fëcë-èg̈ë Bî is reliant on an industry or product that has toxic or negative side-effects as part of its production. The good is extremely valuable, or the community is extremely desperate, and the side effects are endured as a necessary evil. It may be that their neighbors or lord are forcing them to produce the good so that they aren’t the ones suffering the cost.

The roads leading into Fëcë-èg̈ë Bî possess a great number of switchbacks. While designed for defense, they mostly wind up pissing everyone trying to take goods to town right the hell off.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century the Ikovunuma Basin was struck by a drought when Loch Lagdo grew too small to continue feeding River Coral, which reduced the available water supply nationwide, but was especially harsh in the area arround Fëcë-èg̈ë Bî. As the neighboring regions had no water so spare, Fëcë-èg̈ë Bî lost 113 people, and 296 livestock in the disaster.. The drought lasted for 1 weeks, which are remembered as the Dread Thirst.
